This was graded by CGC and frankly I think it would grade a bit higher if you sent it in again, which is why I cracked it out of the slab. CGC grading is often subjective (as is all grading) and Golden Age comics can be difficult to grade. But the grading label (and I guarantee this is the book from the slab I opened it myself carefully) shows that the book has NO RESTORATION, Cover is attached, NO MISSING PAGES, in fact as the label says this has WHITE PAGES. The Centerfold and two interior wraps are detached, but they are original to the book and there are no pieces missing. There is a tear to the cover from one of the center staples. This is a historic book because it features the FIRST Penguin cover appearance in the BATMAN title, a fantastic World War II story inside and the amazing mystery story teaming Batman up with a bunch of literature’s best detectives to try and solve The Case Batman Failed to Solve! As a BONUS I’ll also send you PDFs of BATMAN #1 – #20– many of these are scanned from the original comics so it’s like reading the real thing.
