This #1 Lone Ranger book does not come on the market very often, I haven’t seen one in years. As a sound investment, this is a great value. It is slabbed and graded as Very Fine Plus. The Lone Ranger was created in 1933 for radio, probably inspired by the Zane Gray book, “The Lone Star Ranger” published in 1915 and dedicated to Texas Ranger Captain John R Hughes. With the many series of radio shows, books, movies, and more over the decades, the masked man who became popular instantly became a huge cultural icon over the years, nearly to the point of legend and folklore. The writers and actors involved with this character focused on portraying the hero as a leader with high moral and cultural values and as great role model for American youth. Many generations of grew up with the Lone Ranger as their hero, from the 1930s through the 1960s and beyond. This classic comic book series, dating from after the Second World War, boasts the beautiful rich inks and deep pigments of that age. Even the back cover is filled with story and art in full color with no ads. This book has been archived by CGC in a sealed hard plastic case to exclude oxygen and moisture.
