Thank you for considering this collection of Golden Age Crime Comics. Each issue has its own grade. Some are in better shape than others. Here’s what you’ll receive.. THE SHADOW Wold’s Greatest Crime Buster! #138 (There’s no date in the comic) It is Australian & distributed by Gordon & Gotch, Sydney Australia. This series began in 1950. This issue is in Very Fine + condition. There are no wrinkles, rips or tears. The inside looks great too. RACKET SQUAD In Action No 15 March 1955 Published by Charlton. This issue is in VG- condition. The cover looks very good on 95% of the surface, but the right edge has some fraying & the upper & lower edges have a few light brown stains. There’s also a tiny pencil mark in the upper right corner. The spine has a few wrinkles & stress marks. The inside pages have the same light brown stains on the upper and lower margins. (Send me a message & I’d be happy to show you more pictures). The back page has light brown stains too. I’m making this sound super dirty. It’s not, but there are faint brown stains. CRIME ON THE WATERFRONT No 4 CRIME NEVER PAYS! May 1952 by Realistic Comics. This issue is Very Good. The cover is bright & shiny. There’s a few stress marks along the spine & the cover is separated for 1 inch at the top. There is one crease in the lower right corner. The back page looks fine & the inside pages look fine. Otherwise, this comic looks awesome! At first glance it looks almost new (probably due to the bright red, yellow & blue paint job). This issue is in Very Good – condition. The cover has a few creases & light stains. There’s also a dot sized pen mark in the “D” of the title. The spine has stress marks along the spine, especially in the staple spots. The back cover has light stains & the inside pages look great. MURDER INCORPORATED #2 August 1950 by Fox Feature Syndicate, Inc. This issue is in Good Condition. There is a very well aligned piece of light brown tape along the spine & there’s tape on the inside of the front cover all the way around the perimeter. It appears that the original owner did this to protect the book. There’s no rips or tears where the tape was applied. The front cover is wrinkled. The back page is wrinkled & there’s tape along the inside perimeter of the back page (enhancing my theory that the original owner taped their covers to give them more structure). The inside looks great! CRIME DETECTOR #2 March 1954 by Timor Publications. This comic is in Very Good – condition. The cover looks nice. There’s artwork portion has no wrinkles or tears. The bottom left corner has a tear & the upper left corner is separated for 1 inch. The bottom right corner has a crease. The spine has a few stress marks. The back cover looks good. There’s a few frays along the bottom edge. CRIME DOES NOT PAY No 104 November 1951 by Lev Gleason Publications. This issue is in Very Good condition. The cover looks very nice. The upper left corner is separated from the spine for 1.5 inch. There’s some tiny frays along the edges & the spine has stress marks along the edge. The back page is off white & has some frays along the side edge. Overall, this collection looks Very Good. If you would like to see additional pictures I’m happy to show them.
