I’m very tempted to send it in to CGC, but ultimately i’m just too lazy and it takes too long. The condition is amazing for such a rare book! The ony clear wear is on the back cover, by the lower staple, a little bit of wear; and then a little lower, a little bit of light flaking on the back cover, one small area. On a more recent comic, that might drop the grade to VF/VF+, but in the context of this golden age gem, w/everything else about it being so crazily sharp and crisp and supple, i’m gonna keep it at VF+, but maybe it’s VF+ or VF/VF+? Either way it’s flat-out gorgeous! Tight and flat and square, w/sharp edges. Colors are deep and bright, and the comic has very good gloss. This really is a freak of comic preservation! As overstreet says: classic skull cover! And he goes on to mention several other reasons this is a key issue. Structurally very tight CF, staples, etc. You will “ooh and aah” when you slide this beauty out of its bag! Btw, this book features great art cover and inside; contains alex toth art, among others. Very nice interior; off-white pgs, w/just a hint of light cream at the edges; no tanning or brittleness whatsoever! Don’t let this one of a kind opportunity pass you by.
