Shock Suspenstories (1952) # 6. Comic is certified and graded by CBCS as being 7.0 FN/VF with a qualifying check mark above the grade which means the books looks a lot better than the grade. In our opinion, the most important aspect of a comic especially a Golden Age book given the age and other factors is the look and appearance of the cover as it is all about the art. Personally if given a choice between a beautiful cover appearance and another issue that may bring a grade down I would prefer the copy with the best cover. That is given several copies with the same grade I would choose the best looking cover every time. While books may be given very objective or technical grades, appearance is more subjective as what pleases the eye is more important to me as a art collector than merely the technical aspects of a book. Of course we would like both but then again this book is over 60 years old and none of us are like we were when we were 20. Thanks for looking and listening.
